Job Title: Plumber
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Sector: Property Services
Location: Bedfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: £21.55 - £24.37 per hour

We're currently recruiting a Plumber to join the responsive repairs team for a not-for-profit housing provider, supporting the maintenance of affordable homes across the Bedfordshire area.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out a variety of reactive plumbing repairs and planned maintenance in both occupied and empty properties, including leak detection and repair, installation of bath panels, pipework, taps, and other plumbing components.

  • Identifying and resolving plumbing issues quickly and effectively while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Using a handheld electronic device to receive job instructions, update job progress, and accurately record completed or pending works.
  • Delivering excellent customer service at all times, acting as a professional and courteous representative of the housing provider.
  • Maintaining appropriate van stock levels, ensuring materials are replenished and ordered in line with group specifications.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date job records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Participating in the out of hours (OOH) standby rota when required.

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
  • City & Guilds in Water Regulations & Unvented Hot Water Systems (3345) (desirable)
