A local government organization in London is seeking a skilled Plumber to join their Community Works team. You will be responsible for plumbing repairs and installations within public housing environments, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Applicants should have experience in plumbing, ideally within the public sector, and an NVQ Level 2 in plumbing is preferred. The role offers a salary starting from £40,404 per annum and promotes an inclusive work culture.

Community Works is Lambeth’s in‑house repairs team, delivering high quality communal and estate‑based repairs across the borough. Our operatives work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and schedulers to provide a responsive and efficient service for our residents. The plumbing team focuses on repairs and maintenance to communal and estate‑based plumbing systems; while also carrying out related tasks associated with plumbing, such as minor brickwork or groundwork where required to complete the job.
As a Plumber within Community Works, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of plumbing repairs and installations, as well as undertaking minor groundwork and bricklaying tasks where required. You will work across communal areas and estates, delivering work to a high standard, on time, and in line with health and safety requirements. Your flexibility to take on multiple trade tasks will help reduce reliance on contractors and ensure residents receive a seamless service.
