PLC Technical Support and Service Engineer

£50K-£55K Plus Car or Car Allowance plus Allowances

OTE £60K-£65K

Based from home anywhere in the North of England, ideally Yorkshire

The Company:

ATA are working with an automation specialist that provide system support for companies all over the UK. They provide electrical and controls systems expertise to back up site based maintenance teams.

The Role:
  • Working from home providing technical support over the phone to customers about electrical and PLC/HMI related faults
  • Dialing in remotely to site PLCs and fault finding
  • Organising planned maintenance visits, ordering parts
  • On a call out rota for 50% of your time involving 24/7 site cover – a mix of remote support and visiting sites to solve complex problems
Required Experience:

This role would be perfect for a site based maintenance engineer looking for something more specialised or a service/commissioning engineer looking for something a bit different.

  • A qualified electrical or controls engineer
  • Experience in fault finding and making minor modifications to PLCs
  • Flexible to travel to site and work days and nights on call
  • A strong communicator who can speak to engineers and operators about technical problems
