Job summary

NPR Recruit seeks a PLC Control Engineer to join a site-based automation environment. You will support PLC repairs, fault triage and maintenance activities within a fast-moving consumer goods setting.

Experience with Siemens S7, ProfNet and Profibus is essential, along with ladder logic skills. ONC/HNC/HND or higher in electrical engineering is expected, with eligible FMCG site experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical control system experience.
• Site-based FMCG works/experiences.
• Qualified engineering education as listed.

Responsibilities

• Support PLC technical repairs and fault handling.
• Prioritise system faults and manage error handling.
• Technical fault management across controllers and communications.
• Adhere to communication and fault processes.
• Identify process failures and support maintenance activities.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of faults using recognised tools.
• Rectify issues and implement prevention measures.

Shift

The right PLC Control Engineer will support the site's maintenance and engineering team (Controls/Technically) within a site-based automation environment.

• To support the PLC technical repairs
• Prioritise system faults.
• Error management.
• Technical fault management, controllers and communications.
• Adhering to agreed communication and fault processes.
• Identifying any process failures
• Targeting maintenance activities as identified
• Root-cause analysis of faults using industry-recognised tools
• Rectification and prevention of issues
• Experience with Siemens S7, ProfNet, Profibus, Ladder

Qualifications: PLC Control Engineer

• ONC-HNC-HND or qualified engineering, OR BSc, or MSc
• Electrical control system experience
