Harlequin presently provides pre‑school, forest pre‑school, breakfast, after‑school, forest school and holiday clubs for children aged 2‑11 at four locations in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. This is a career opportunity to join our professional childcare team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals either with experience or new to childcare to work at one or more of our settings and help us develop a new setting and to extend our existing operations.

To be successful you will have a desire to deliver first‑rate childcare and have good interpersonal skills. Previous experience or qualifications are not required.

Tasks
  • Helping to ensure the provision of safe play opportunities, preparation of activities, organising a programme of activities and games
  • Guiding, monitoring and recording children’s learning and development
  • Preparation and clearing of refreshments
  • Meeting the needs of the children
  • Administration of first aid (after training).

Hours vary during term time and holidays but will average 25‑30 per week across the year. Hours can be negotiated with up to 35 per week available. Wage offered is £12.21‑£17.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
