Job summary

Wiltshire Scrapstore & Resource Centre Ltd is seeking a PlayPodLead to deliver the Scrapstore PlayPod programme across Wiltshire, including training, mentoring and school support. The role involves hands-on resource handling, travel to different settings and promoting inclusive play opportunities.

The role requires a creative, proactive individual with strong organisational and communication skills, willing to work varied hours including early mornings and travel. DBS checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the nationally accredited Scrapstore PlayPod programme, including training, mentoring, support and assessment for schools and settings
• Provide ongoing support to PlayPod schools by email, phone and refresher training
• Support schools to develop quality, inclusive play opportunities and advocate for childrens’ right to play
• Model good play work practice, including conflict resolution and a risk-benefit approach
• Working with the warehouse team to organise, prepare and deliver loose-part resources and play equipment
• Loading and unloading resources from vehicles and into PlayPods
• Travelling to schools and settings across Wiltshire and beyond
• Using email, databases and other IT systems
• Attending team meetings, training, reviews and 1:1s
• Working within organisational, health and safety and safeguarding procedures
• Being flexible and adapting to the changing needs of the organisation and its projects
