Job summary

Parenta in Wimbledon is seeking a Nursery Apprentice to join a warm team and support children aged 0–5 years. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work 40 hours per week across Monday–Friday, and earn £8.00 per hour while training for a national Early Years qualification.

You’ll receive full training and a personal tutor, with no college attendance required as training happens at the workplace. Apprenticeship lasts about 12–20 months, with progression opportunities in childcare.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) or willingness to complete Functional Skills.
• Access to a laptop/computer with internet access.
• UK residency for apprenticeship funding eligibility (3 years).
• Apprenticeship duration: approximately 12–20 months.
• Training delivered virtually alongside practical experience.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.

The role is for an Apprenticeship:

• Starting pay: £8.00 per hour (Apprentice Minimum Wage)


• Progression: If aged 19+ and continuing beyond the first year, pay will increase to at least the applicable age related National Minimum Wage from year two. Performance and annual reviews may apply thereafter.
