Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is hiring an Early Years Practitioner at Canaan Lane Primary School on a fixed-term basis until 01 July 2027. The role supports 3-5-year-olds across 36 hours per week over 39 weeks, with pro rata terms for part-time or sessional arrangements.

• Experience working with 3-5-year-olds in an Early Learning and Childcare setting.
• Commitment to play-based learning, wellbeing, inclusive practice and nurturing approaches.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and model high standards of pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Work with 3-5-year-old learners in Canaan Lane Primary School's early years provision.
• Promote play-based learning, wellbeing, inclusivity and nurture across the setting.
