Plating Bay Team Leader

Location: Ramsgate

Hours: Day shift

About the Role

Our client is Europe's leading independent overhaul and repair facility with a strong reputation in the aerospace industry. They provide services to international and regional airlines, helicopter operators, and airframe manufacturers.

This role ensures efficient day-to-day operations of the Plating and Shot Peen departments while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Process components within plating or shot peen departments
  • Plan and schedule workload in line with production schedules
  • Develop and maintain strong team morale
  • Implement standard operating practices and procedures
  • Identify training and development opportunities
  • Manage first-level discipline and grievance issues
  • Maintain plant and equipment, including preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Support new product development initiatives
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience within the engineering industry
  • Prior experience in a production workshop environment
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Understanding of lean process principles
