Job summary

Aryza Group's Aryza Lending platform is seeking a Platform Support Engineer to help maintain the stability, reliability, and performance of our Windows-based infrastructure estate on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting platform issues and supporting incident and problem management across our credit suite.

You will be responsible for day-to-day Windows Server support, virtualised VMware/Hyper-V environments, PowerShell scripting, and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Windows Server infrastructure administration and support.
• Hands-on VMware and Hyper-V experience is a must.
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues in a production environment.
• Good working knowledge of PowerShell for scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of core infrastructure components, including networking, storage, Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP.
• Experience supporting incident and problem management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure during incidents.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, ownership-driven approach to platform stability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Windows Server infrastructure across non-production and production environments.
• Administer and maintain our virtualised server environments, with hands-on responsibility for VMware and Hyper-V hosts, clusters, and virtual machines.
• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Write and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, monitoring checks, and troubleshooting activities.
• Monitor platform health and performance, escalating and coordinating the resolution of issues in line with SLAs.
• Support patching, upgrades, and maintenance of Windows Server infrastructure, minimising disruption to service.
• Contribute to incident and problem management processes, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure support activities.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, support, and third-party providers to resolve infrastructure issues and improve platform reliability.
