Job summary

M&G is seeking a Platform Proposition Architect in the UK (Edinburgh or Stirling) to shape how Sonata and other core platforms enable life and pensions propositions. You will work across proposition, experience, operating model and technology to define how platforms should be used, reused and evolved.

You will influence decisions, challenge designs and align platform capability with business needs while collaborating with product, design and vendor partners in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience applying proposition and architecture thinking to connect business needs with platform capability in strategic roles.
• Strong knowledge of Sonata: configuration, integration and support for life & pensions propositions.
• Experience shaping the use of a core or SaaS platform across products and propositions.
• Proven ability to frame complex problems and recommend standard vs. customised solutions.
• Experience influencing decisions across business, product, technology and external partners.
• Experience in regulated financial services with Consumer Duty or equivalent requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate a forward-looking view of Sonata and core platforms across digital propositions.
• Collaborate with proposition, experience, operating model and platform capability before delivery commitments.
• Turn proposition and operating-model needs into clear choices on standard capability, configuration, and reuse.
• Apply lessons across programmes to reuse platform capability, integrations and approaches.
• Provide informed recommendations at investment, design and governance points.
• Develop a cross-platform view of Sonata and other platforms in the digital ecosystem.
• Influence platform choices and vendor relationships using Sonata roadmaps and market practice.
