Platform Software Engineer - BAE Systems, Warton

Location: Warton, Lancashire

Contract Type: Contract

Pay Rate: £55 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain software for complex aerospace systems.
  • Perform software integration, debugging, and verification activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Support software reviews, configuration control, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with BAE Systems engineering and quality processes.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in C/C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with embedded or real-time systems.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with DO-178, MIL-STD, or similar defence/aerospace standards (desirable).
