Platform Services Engineer

Head Resourcing are pleased to be working with a global manufacturer who are headquartered in Scotland as they look to hire a Platform Services Engineer. Our client is a long-established, family-owned business with global operations producing a wide range of high-quality products.

The Platform Services Engineer is a 3rd line position within our clients IT structure and is responsible for deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure, hardware, and software in our client's global infrastructure estate. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel to our clients' other sites on an ad hoc basis.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure / Platform engineer - working up to 3rd line level
• Comfortable managing large-scale Windows Server and Active Directory environments, with strong Azure knowledge
• Skilled in Entra ID, and Intune experience for managing identity and access
• Strong networking understanding including LAN/WAN, VLANS, SD-WAN, and SWAN, plus operational experience with Cisco Meraki
• Understanding of virtualisation (VMware / Hyper‑V) and backup and DR strategies
• Demonstrable capability to troubleshoot complex incidents, working under pressure, and working as part of a team and the wider IT department
