Job summary

NCC Group is seeking a Platform Security Engineer (Tanium/Sentinel) for a fixed term contract, remote with occasional travel in the West Midlands. You will administer and maintain Endpoint security across enterprise environments, focusing on OT and IT security, and collaborate with IT and security teams to improve visibility, patching, and incident response.

You will deploy Tanium modules, develop dashboards and reports, and stay current with Tanium/Sentinel One updates.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Tanium in medium to large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of endpoint management and cybersecurity principles.
• Scripting for automation and reporting using PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain End Point Security platforms (Tanium & SentinelOne).
• Deploy, configure, and manage Tanium modules (Asset, Patch, Deploy, Threat Response, Comply).
• Monitor performance and ensure high availability of End Point security services.
• Develop dashboards and reports to support IT operations and security teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security services with tools.
• Perform regular audits and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Troubleshoot endpoint visibility, patching, and deployment issues.

Description

Remote with occasional travel in West Midlands: In the Security Engineer role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) is secure and protected against cyber threats. Your expertise will help identify potential risks and vulnerabilities specific to OT and IT environments and develop effective mitigation strategies. By providing guidance and support, you will contribute to our vision of being a world-leading Information Technology and Digital function in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

What you'll do

As an employee in the Security Engineer role, your key roles and responsibilities will include:

• Administer and maintain the End Point Security platform(s) (Tanium & Sentinel One) across enterprise environments.
• Deploy, configure, and manage End Point Security including Tanium modules including Asset, Patch, Deploy, Threat Response, and Comply.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of End Point security services.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and queries to support IT operations and security teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate End Point security services with other security and IT tools.
• Perform regular audits and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to endpoint visibility, patching, and software deployment.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on End Point security services usage and best practices.
• Stay current with Tanium/Sentinel One updates, features, and industry trends.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) certification is preferable.
• Proven experience administering Tanium and other End Point security products in a medium to large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, cybersecurity principles, and IT operations.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and reporting.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
