EDF Energy is seeking a Platform Recovery Lead within our Enterprise IT function in the United Kingdom. This hybrid role balances time at home and on site, with occasional travel to UK offices as needed.

You will help strengthen our digital recovery strategy, ensure resilience across complex platforms, cloud environments and critical services, and work with enterprise teams to deliver robust recovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT disaster recovery, digital recovery, operational resilience or IT service continuity.
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Ability to lead cross-functional response activities and influence senior stakeholders.
• Potential certifications such as ITIL, ISO 22301, CISSP, CISM or Cloud Architecture are a plus.

We are seeking someone with passion, skills and experience to help our Platform Recovery team strengthen our ability to recover technology services.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Enterprise Product Manager in the Enterprise Platform team, the Platform Recovery Lead will play a key role ensuring our technology services are resilient, recoverable and capable of withstanding disruptions.

Our Platform Recovery practise shapes and drives our digital recovery strategy across complex platforms, cloud environments, and critical business services. The team collaborates closely with colleagues in engineering, security, service management, business units and product teams to coordinate recovery activities and improve enterprise-wide readiness.

This is hybrid working role, that balances time at home and on site to support collaboration and delivery. There will therefore be occasional travel to our offices within the UK.

Who You Are,

Youll support the development and maintenance of IT digital recovery plans, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned to architectural standards.

Youll maintain and assure recovery runbooks and technical recovery procedures for critical infrastructure and application services.

Youll raise and monitor recovery related risks and support mitigation planning with business continuity leads and Enterprise product managers and owners.

Youll work with Enterprise product teams and business units to ensure recovery capabilities meet service level requirements.

Youll assist with continuous improvement of testing methods, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry expectations.

Youll engage with senior stakeholders across a federated business model to ensure resilience priorities are understood and supported.

Youll engage with business units to understand their service priorities and recovery readiness including regular testing regimes.

To be successful in this role youll be detailoriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse technical information to translate into structured recovery documentation.

Youll have proven experience of IT disaster recovery, digital recovery, operational resilience, or IT service continuity.

Hands-on experience with operational resilience frameworks, impact tolerance setting and scenario testing.

Familiarity with on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), infrastructure resilience patterns and enterprise architecture principles.

Ability to lead cross-functional response activities and influence senior stakeholders.

Ideally, youll have certifications such as ITIL, ISO 22301, CISSP, CISM, or Cloud Architecture qualifications.
