A local council in London seeks a Platform & Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and configure corporate platforms and ensure security compliance. This role offers a hybrid working model with a salary starting at £43,308 pa. You will be responsible for collaborating with service providers and supporting day-to-day technology operations. The Technology Business Unit designs, delivers, runs and maintains technology solutions and services required for the Council to process business and deliver services to residents. All functions work collaboratively to deliver end-to-end solutions and services.
This role works within the Run and Maintain function, which is responsible for day-to-day operation of technology solutions and services to maintain security, availability, and continuous improvement to enable effective business operations with high levels of customer satisfaction.
The function also supports the Delivery function by providing resources to build digital and information technology solutions and services that meet design requirements and by providing early life support for new and changing solutions and services in live operation.
This role maintains and configures all corporate platforms and infrastructure, including hardware builds or firmware upgrades, enabling business operations to meet security, statutory and regulatory requirements. It collaborates with service providers to ensure externally provided services maintain technical currency, meet security standards and satisfy agreed contractual service levels.
