Job description

This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

The role

This company builds an AI data-integration and analysis platform for enterprise customers. Their systems automate complex document processing and data retrieval, operating within some of the world's most sensitive financial data environments. Security and compliance aren't just features; they are the core product, a hard problem they solve at scale. They're rapidly growing, backed by significant funding from leading investors, and now scaling the critical infrastructure that underpins it all.

You'll join a small, high-impact team, reporting directly to the founders, to architect and operate the entire platform infrastructure. This isn't just maintaining existing systems; it's about building the secure, compliant, and scalable foundations for a rapidly expanding enterprise AI product. You'll own the infrastructure roadmap, enabling product engineers to ship fast while ensuring enterprise-grade controls are baked in, not bolted on.

The work
  • Architect and operate Kubernetes clusters and Terraform-managed cloud resources.
  • Design and implement platform-level CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for backend, frontend, and data services.
  • Drive product-wide observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and on-call processes.
  • Prepare infrastructure for critical security audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and manage cloud costs.
  • Build robust guardrails and advanced networking solutions (VPCs, VPNs, firewalls) for secure, rapid product development.
What You Bring
  • 4-7 years of platform, infrastructure, or DevOps experience, with a track record of end-to-end ownership in high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience designing Terraform modules and platform-level GitHub Actions CI/CD.
  • Deep understanding of production observability (logging, metrics, tracing) and advanced networking concepts (VPCs, private networking, DNS, load balancers, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Experience provisioning and scaling production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and blob storage, with strong Python or Bash for automation.
  • Direct experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR processes, understanding how infrastructure decisions impact audit evidence.
