Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Platform Engineer in the Networking Team within the Accelerator. You will help get smart ideas into customers’ hands, participate in an on-call rotation, and work from the office five days a week in London.

You will design and operate cloud-based networks, build Kubernetes operators in Golang, and improve observability and security across production systems. A strong background in cloud platforms and networking is essential.

Qualifications

Hands-on knowledge of building cloud-based environments.
Expert knowledge of containerisation and Kubernetes tooling.
Deep understanding of cloud-native and traditional networking architectures.
Experience designing and operating scalable, secure networks in GCP or AWS.
Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, NAT, Firewalls).
Extensive experience writing/maintaining custom Kubernetes Operators in Golang.
Ability to deliver highly automated infrastructure environments.
Comfort with fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate to implement platform-wide networking strategies.
Optimise infrastructure for failover and resiliency.
Enhance operator design; maintain custom operators for cloud-native stacks.
Improve observability to meet SLOs for networking components.
Lead production incident troubleshooting and postmortem reviews.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' code.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and credentials.
Drive communities of practice across Software Engineering and promote new tech awareness.
Lead agile ceremonies and contribute to inclusive team culture.
