Platform Engineer

£74.26 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

The Role

• Implement, maintain and enhance the platforms physical and virtual infrastructure
• Ensure high availability and performance of network services
• Carries out virtual and physical infrastructure/network/storage builds and rebuilds
• Assists in the preparation of detailed technical delivery plans
• Maintain detailed network design documentation and knowledge management for operational transparency
• Contribute to the design and integration of new network solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network improvements and expansions
• Comply with Governance and change control policies

The Candidate

• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
• Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP,) or equivalent / proven experience on this level
• Microsoft PowerShell, Bash, Windows Server/Desktop and/or Redhat Linux (RHEL) Server/Desktop Administration, Hypervisor (vmware), Citrix VDI, Active Directory
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g. Bash, PoweShell, Python, Perl, BAT)
