Job summary

A leading technology recruitment firm in London is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to architect and support secure, scalable cloud environments using AWS and Kubernetes. This role demands strong expertise in automation and security practices. Ideal candidates possess significant experience with AWS MSK, Kubernetes, and security tools, along with the necessary security clearance. This full-time position offers hybrid flexibility and career progression within a modern DevSecOps culture.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS MSK (Kafka) and secure multi-account AWS environments.
• Proven production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Proficient in Terraform, CI/CD Pipelines (Drone / GitLab).
• Excellent understanding of Kafka internals and secure Kafka deployments.
• Strong experience across monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of security hardening, IAM, WAF, Shield, Vault.
• UK*C or Enhanced DV (eDV) Clearance is a must.

They’re looking to bring in a number of Senior / Lead DevOps Engineers to support new and existing secure programmes of work.

What You Will Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for architecting and supporting secure, scalable cloud environments using AWS and Kubernetes. You'll drive key initiatives across automation, container orchestration, and real-time data streaming pipelines. As a senior or lead engineer, you’ll be hands-on in both build and support, working across security-first infrastructure and enabling robust DevSecOps practices.
