Job summary

Project Freelance is seeking an experienced Network/Platform (Design & Build) Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and configuration of cloud-based network solutions. The role is a 12-month contract, onsite in Hursley with a day rate of £560–£615.

Active SC or eligible clearance is required, and the appointment may require security clearance prior to start. The successful candidate will develop and maintain HLDs/LLDs, deploy VNFs, and integrate cloud network solutions

Qualifications

• Strong experience in network platform design and build activities.
• Experience with development, deployment, and support of network cloud solutions.
• Hands-on with VNFs and telecom/network infrastructure platforms.
• Familiar with ALM, ASM, NOI, PI and Spirent tools.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network/Platform (Design & Build) Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and configuration of cloud-based network solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering network platform capabilities, producing high and low-level designs, and deploying virtual network functions within a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Design, build, implement, and configure network cloud solutions.
• Deploy and integrate Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) from multiple Network Equipment Providers (NEPs).
• Support the configuration and administration of Agile Lifecycle Manager (ALM) and Automation Service Manager (ASM) platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure successful delivery of network infrastructure solutions.
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and platform optimisation.

• Strong experience in network platform design and build activities.
• Proven expertise in the development, deployment, and support of network cloud solutions.
• Experience with:

  • Other associated tools and technologies relevant to network cloud and virtualised environments.
• Experience working with virtual network functions (VNFs) and telecommunications/network infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, implementation, and operational best practices.
