Ticket Tailor is hiring a Platform Engineer to own and evolve our production infrastructure in a hybrid-remote setup. You will manage services from MySQL/Aurora to ECS, with Terraform as code and Cloudflare for edge delivery.
You'll work with a small team of Platform Engineers, embracing AI-enabled tooling to speed delivery while keeping systems robust, secure, and scalable. Hybrid role with two office days in Hackney.
Ticket Tailor is committed to empowering a diverse range of event creators through simple and affordable ticketing. But that's not all, we're also on a mission to make sure that every single ticket sold has a positive impact on all stakeholders, our team, our planet and the communities we operate in. We call this "Growth on Purpose" and are proud to be a Certified B Corp™, officially putting business for good at the centre of everything we do.

Last year, over 10 million orders were placed through the Ticket Tailor platform, for all types of events from art installations to water parks. We have a world‑class NPS score, and pride ourselves in building a simple platform built with a customer‑first mindset.
We're a fully independent, profitable, and bootstrapped company meaning we don't have to answer to anyone except ourselves and our customers, allowing us to scale the company sustainably and with soul. We work hybrid-remote and do two days per week in office, in our lovely space in Hackney.
We're growing our Platform team, and hiring a full‑time Platform Engineer to be our third member. It's a real mix of work: one day you will be building a system to protect our servers from high traffic influxes, reworking a Terraform module the next, then adopting a new self‑hosted tool that unlocks teams. You'll own the infrastructure everything else runs on, taking real ownership of how it comes together.
The impact you have on the people around you is what will motivate you, and the problem will interest you as much as the tools you solve it with. You'll work alongside two other Platform Engineers and close to the product engineers, pairing, reviewing, unblocking, and shaping the platform together. Like the rest of engineering, we lean on tools like Claude to move faster because it changes what three people can realistically own.
Everything you deliver is yours end to end, from spotting the problem worth solving to running it in production. As part of a small team you'll have a real say in the technology decisions and share in the successes with the whole company.
At Ticket Tailor, we’re passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive environment where people can thrive, be inspired, and feel comfortable to be themselves.
As a Certified B Corp™, we lead from the front, and with purpose, to disrupt the ticketing industry while ensuring we accommodate and celebrate people of all backgrounds along the way.
We believe that diverse teams enable us to have different perspectives and points of view, making us even stronger in achieving our goals. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply and join us on our mission.
We’re open to hiring at either mid or senior level, depending on your experience and the scope of responsibility you’ve held. The upper end of our salary range (£75,000+) is intended for candidates joining us at Senior level.
At either level, you’ll have a real say in the technical and product decisions we make. For a Senior level position we would expect strong experience and evidence in shaping solutions and contributing to key development decisions, such as choosing a direction while the requirements were still moving, bringing engineers and the business with you, and staying close enough to the solution to understand whether those decisions worked in practice.
If your application is shortlisted, then you will receive detailed information about the next stages of the process.
You’re welcome to use AI to help structure, refine or proofread your answers. However, your responses should accurately reflect your own skills, experience and achievements.
If you’re shortlisted, you should be prepared to discuss and expand on your responses during the interview.
Bear in mind that hiring teams read a large number of applications. Responses that rely heavily on AI can sometimes feel generic, so taking the time to make your application personal and specific will help it stand out.
