Zusammenfassung

Gazelle Global is building an enterprise-grade AI platform to enable secure, scalable and production-ready use of Generative AI and ML across the Customs Declaration Service within HMRC. The AI Platform Engineer translates architectural designs into working systems, implementing AI services that integrate into enterprise applications and SDLC processes.

This is a hands-on role focused on productionisation with Hybrid-Remote / London York Road.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing cloud-native infrastructure at scale.
• Proficiency with Terraform or Ansible for IaC.
• Experience delivering APIs and distributed systems.

• Design reusable AI service scaffolding (API wrappers, orchestration templates, IAM integration).
• Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
• Implement secure networking, environment isolation and deployment pipelines.
• Develop reusable integration components for RAG, orchestration and agent patterns.
• Enforce platform standards for logging, telemetry and cost tracking.
• Support use case squads in consuming platform services correctly.

We are building an enterprise-grade AI platform to enable secure, scalable and production-ready use of Generative AI and ML across the Customs Declaration Service within HMRC.

The AI Platform Engineer will translate architectural designs into working systems, implementing AI services that integrate cleanly into enterprise applications, workflows and SDLC processes. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on productionisation. Hybrid-Remote / London York Road.

Responsibilities

• The Platform Engineer – AI Platform is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that enables secure, scalable and reusable AI capability across CDS.
• This role focuses on cloud-native architecture, reusable service patterns and platform automation rather than individual use case delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable AI service scaffolding (API wrappers, orchestration templates, IAM integration)
• Build and maintain cloud-native infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure
• Implement secure networking, environment isolation and deployment pipelines
• Develop reusable integration components for RAG, orchestration and agent patterns
• Enforce platform standards for logging, telemetry and cost tracking
• Support use case squads in consuming platform services correctly

Required Skills

• Strong backend and cloud engineering experience
• Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems
• Familiarity with Bedrock AI services

Please Note: One of the requirements of the AI Activation roles is being able to attend York Road site in London two days out of ten, with the preferred working pattern to be Tues / Weds week one, then fully remote week two.
