About The Role

As a Platform Engineer in the Container Platform Team, you’ll play a key role in developing, improving, and supporting secure, scalable, and automated container platform services — primarily RedHat OpenShift on AWS. The platform is well-established, and you’ll help ensure it continues to evolve in line with business needs and is consumed in a “Platform as a Product” model.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering and continually improving our OpenShift platforms on AWS
  • Ensuring platform performance, availability, security, and capacity meet business needs.
  • Driving automation of platform operations and infrastructure delivery (IaC).
  • Supporting the migration and onboarding of services to the container platform.
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation of platform configuration and processes.
  • Contributing to roadmap planning and prioritisation.
  • Supporting business continuity through resilient platform design.
About You

You’re a hands‑on engineer with a pragmatic mindset and a passion for cloud‑native technologies. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex problems with scalable solutions.

You bring:

  • Strong technical skills and cloud platform knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • A structured, disciplined approach to planning and delivery.
  • Clear, proactive communication — both technical and non‑technical.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • A customer‑focused attitude with an understanding of business priorities.
  • Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfort working in fast‑paced environments and adapting to changing priorities.

Minimum criteria:

  • 3+ years in platform engineering or similar roles.
  • 2+ years designing, building, configuring, and operating container platforms (OpenShift or Kubernetes).
  • Solid experience with public cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
  • Strong Linux knowledge, scripting skills, and significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture, networking, and distributed systems.
  • Awareness of governance, compliance, and security best practices.
