Job summary

Fractile in London is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join the Software organisation. You will work with hardware, software and research teams to tackle AI hardware challenges, from verification to simulation, enabling fast and reliable deployments.

You will build and optimize the core platform, manage multi-language Bazel monorepo, CI pipelines, and tooling, while applying an SRE mindset to reliability and developer productivity across ML workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years CI/CD for large-scale products including monitoring and debugging at scale.
• 3+ years with cross-language build systems (Bazel, Buck, Pants, Please).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu, or Pulumi).
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana).
• DevOps/SRE principles: SLOs, alerting design, incident management, and on-call practice.
• Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python; Go or Rust also relevant).

Responsibilities

• Own core platform and build pipelines across hardware and software teams.
• Develop and maintain simulators, toolchains, and ML compute libraries.
• Improve reliability, build performance and CI failure debugging.
• Provide visibility into infrastructure performance for the engineering org.
