About the Role

The FA is seeking a Platform Architect to join our Digital Technology division. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing low-level platform architecture designs across all IT and business product lines, ensuring compliance with platform standards during delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical input into the IT infrastructure roadmap for both near-term (next 18-24 months) and long-term (3-5 years).
2. Serve as a technical design authority for infrastructure and business-led projects.
3. Produce low-level designs for projects.
4. Build infrastructure proof of concepts as needed.
5. Align projects with enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
6. Identify opportunities for infrastructure innovation based on industry trends.
7. Resolve 3rd-level technical issues.
8. Collaborate with third-party suppliers for architectural changes.
9. Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies.
10. Leverage vendor relationships for technology insights.
11. Work with solution and data architects within the department.
12. Perform additional tasks as required and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
13. Complete necessary background checks, including DBS, as per legislation.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Deep Azure cloud knowledge; Azure Solutions Architect certification (AZ303+AZ304) preferred.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings to gather requirements.
• Proven experience designing secure, efficient, resilient IT architectures.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, AD, ISA Server, TMG, Security methodologies.
• Experience documenting security policies and procedures.

Experience

10+ years in designing and managing IT architectures, including:

• MS Azure cloud platform
• AD/DHCP/DNS
• VMWare virtualization
• NetApp Storage Arrays
• Cisco networking equipment
• IIS configuration and hardening
• Fortinet firewalls

Beneficial Skills

• Knowledge of wired and wireless networking.
• Risk identification in technology solutions.
• Understanding of project management methodologies.
• Ability to break down technical projects into tasks.
