Job summary

A leading engineering resources company is seeking experienced Platers for an 18-month project at an oil refinery near Immingham. Responsibilities include using oxyacetylene to cut and repair steel plate, and performing MMA tack welding. Candidates must possess a CCNSG card and NVQ 3 / City & Guilds qualification, along with experience on industrial sites. Competitive hourly rates are offered based on hours worked.

Position: Plater

Location: Immingham

Hours: Approx 10hr shifts

Start Date: 22.09.25

Duration: 18 months

Pay

• 1st 38 Hrs Mon-Fri: £22.44/hr

• O/T 1: £31.42/hr

• O/T 2: £40.39/hr

• Hourly Bonus

The Role

Our client has a requirement for Platers for an 18 month project on an oil refinery near Immingham. Duties will include:

• Using oxyacetylene burning equipment to remove sections of plate
• Setting out, marking and cutting steel plate
• Repairing heat distorted steel plate
• MMA tack welding

Requirements

• NVQ 3 / City & Guilds qualification
• Experience of working on industrial sites ie power stations, refineries, steelworks
