A humanitarian assistance organization is seeking a Plastic/Reconstructive Surgeon to deliver surgical care in challenging settings. This full-time role requires relevant experience and the willingness to travel internationally for a minimum of 2 weeks. Successful candidates must have specialty training in the field and a strong commitment to humanitarian efforts. The position includes some weekend and evening work to support programme delivery. Plastic / Reconstructive Surgeon (UK-Med)
Full time with some weekend and evening working required to support humanitarian programme delivery.
Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Minimum of 2 weeks at a time (longer availability is highly desirable).
International – any UK-Med response including Ukraine and other operations.
We are seeking Plastic/Reconstructive Surgeons with relevant experience who are enthusiastic about extending their knowledge and skills within a humanitarian environment. You will be able to make yourself available to travel and work internationally at short notice for a minimum of 2 weeks (longer availability is highly desirable).
• Deliver surgical care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in low‑resource or humanitarian settings.
• Treat both adults and children.
• Participate in humanitarian programme delivery, including weekend and evening work as needed.
• Support other team members through learning and collaboration.
