Job summary

A leading manufacturer in the UK is seeking a qualified Lead Plastic Injection Mould Toolmaker for their Oxfordshire facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing injection mould tools from CAD data and maintaining existing tooling. Required qualifications include proven CNC and CAD / CAM experience, ideally within steel. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £45k, alongside excellent benefits including overtime, a pension scheme, and additional holidays.

Job description

A leading manufacturer of high quality plastic injection moulded parts and assemblies is now looking for a Lead Plastic Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their Oxfordshire facility.

The successful applicant will be Apprentice trained or a qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.

Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacture of new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost effective manner.

You will also maintain and modify existing tooling.

With previous experience of CNC machining and CAD / CAM software, you will produce fully hardened steel production tools.

This role is offered on a permanent, full time, day shift, with excellent benefits, including early finish on Fridays, occasional overtime, 25 days holiday + BH, pension scheme, and free parking.

Qualifications and Experience :

We are looking for an experienced plastic injection mould toolmaker, who is Apprentice trained; or a qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.

It is essential you have proven experience in CNC and CAD / CAM, working with steel / hardened steel.

Also required is experience with Hot runner systems / Valve gates and manifolds

Additional Information :

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK, without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Passports and Visas will be requested for verification.
