Job summary

Stericycle is seeking a Plant Operations Assistant at the Ashford site to support the receipt, treatment and disposal of clinical waste. You will help maintain plant availability and productivity while complying with procedures and regulatory requirements.

Roles involve unloading, moving containers, data recording, and assisting with shutdowns. The position requires flexibility for shift work and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload vehicles and trailers as applicable to site.
• Move and weigh waste containers safely on the plant.
• Ensure containers are emptied, cleaned, and stored for collection.
• Coordinate paperwork and deliveries to the plant.
• Oversee safe handling of waste into containers when needed.
• Operate forklift truck if required.
• Participate in plant shutdowns as necessary.
• Maintain plant operation records and data.
• Report major defects or safety concerns to management.
• Assist Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager during breakdowns or stoppages.
• Follow all safety notices and procedures at all times.
