Job summary

KineticPlc is seeking a Plant Operator in Malton to support machinery movements, loading, preparation and general site operations in a busy yard and workshop team.

The role suits practical, organised individuals with forklift experience and a valid licence. Hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, 40 hours weekly, with a paid break; temporary with potential to go permanent after 18 weeks.

Qualifications

• Practical, organised candidate with experience operating machinery.
• Experience moving machinery and loading within a yard or workshop.
• Ability to perform basic pre-delivery checks and fit simple attachments.

Responsibilities

• Yard management: keep the yard clean, organised and safe; maintain machine display areas; ensure clear access routes.
• Machinery movement: safely move equipment using forklifts (up to 7T), side loaders, telehandlers, tractors and overhead cranes (OHC/10T Humber).
• Vehicle loading: load/unload lorries, secure loads, follow safe lifting procedures and support drivers.
• Machine preparation: wash, prepare and complete basic pre-delivery checks; fit simple attachments.
• General workshop support: assist workshop, parts and production teams; support housekeeping; help maintain buildings and grounds.
• Local collections: carry out local supplier collections using company vehicles.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours; 30 minute paid break + 30 minute unpaid lunch)

Hourly Pay: £15/hour (£31,200 annual equivalent)

Temp to Perm (18 weeks)
