Job summary

The Binn Group, l'une des plus grandes entreprises de recyclage en Écosse, cherche un Plant Operative. Le candidat idéal devra gérer les activités quotidiennes de la cour, travailler de manière autonome et respecter les normes de sécurité. Une expérience de l'exploitation d'équipements tels que le Forklift et le Telehander est souhaitable, mais une formation sera fournie.

Qualifications

  • Expérience en manipulation et tri des métaux.
  • Expérience d'exploitation d'équipements à normes NPORS ou équivalentes.
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome.

Responsibilities

  • Assister l'équipe de direction dans l'organisation quotidienne de la cour.
  • Traiter les matériaux et manipuler le métal à scrap.
  • Respecter les réglementations de santé et sécurité dans le cadre de l'opération quotidienne.

Job description

The Binn Group is one of Scotland’s leading recycling, renewable energy, and waste management companies. Due to ongoing business success and growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity within the Operations Department. Please note that experience is preferable; however, the Binn Group will provide training in all required areas.

Job Title: Plant Operative

Application Closing Date: Open Ended

Hours: 0600 – 1800 (One weekend in three)

  1. Assist the management team in daily yard organization, including processing materials, handling scrap metal, and operating machinery (Forklift/Telehander/360 Grab).
  2. Experience with Telehander/360 Grab to NPORS standard or equivalent is preferred.
  3. Liaise with customers (internal and external) regarding waste disposal and assist them with identifying disposal points within the yard.
  4. Perform general housekeeping tasks throughout the day.
  5. Maintain knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a functioning waste yard.
The Ideal Candidate…
  1. Experience in handling and grading scrap metals.
  2. Experience operating Forklift/Telehander/360 Grab to NPORS standards or equivalent.
  3. Ability to work autonomously and independently.
  4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  5. Customer service orientation and commercial awareness.
  6. A full UK driving licence is desirable.
