Qualifications

Responsibilities

Plant Mobile Fitter

Newark, Full Time, Permanent

£23.96 per hour + Overtime Opportunities

Our Newark based client is looking for a Plant Mobile Fitter to join their well-established team in Newark. This is a Full Time, Permanent opportunity.

THE ROLE

As a Plant Mobile Fitter, you’ll be carrying out duties as directed by the Depot Supervisor, as well as:

  • Being responsible for checking all machinery that comes from and goes out to sites.
  • Completing of pre-hire inspection sheets and distributing out with the relevant machine.
  • Carrying out post-hire inspections, recording any damages / faults that are identified and passing information on as required.
  • Ordering spare parts as required and maintaining equipment.
  • Going through the weekly maintenance sheets and recording faults as well as helping to plan repairs.
  • Updating fleet hours and servicing data on dashboard.
  • Maintaining records for all rigs in line with STEQ processes.
  • To ensure that all operations are carried out safely.
  • To be aware of the Integrated Management system, company policies, together with any relevant procedures and risk assessments.
  • Attending breakdowns at customer sites as and when required by the business (this may mean staying away from home in the evenings).
THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Plant Mobile Fitter will have an understanding of health and safety, as well as:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NVQ in Plant Maintenance (Or Equivalent).
  • Experience working with heavy machinery.
  • Experience of working with hydraulics & electrics.
  • Practical and physical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise own work and work of others to meet deadlines and achieve targets in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, positive, and flexible to the needs of the business and the role.
