Job summary

Confidential Manufacturer in Redditch, Worcestershire, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing strategy and drive operational excellence, quality, cost and delivery targets. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide technical support and deliver best-in-class operations.

The role requires senior management experience, a relevant engineering/manufacturing degree, and a strong Lean/CI background to drive cost reductions, waste minimisation and successful new product

Qualifications

• Experience at senior management level in manufacturing.
• Degree in engineering/manufacturing discipline or equivalent.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement background.

Responsibilities

• Implement manufacturing strategy and operational goals to exceed quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Drive KPI reporting and ensure production to cost and on-time delivery.
• Lead Lean initiatives and continuous improvement across manufacturing areas.
• Oversee Health, Safety and Environmental matters and prioritise compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support new product development and manufacturability.
• Manage production budgets and staffing to optimise labour efficiency.
