Overview

Location Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Salary up to £48,000 inc. 30% shift allowance, depending on experience.

Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Engineer based at our Stonehouse site. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a 3-shift operation with the responsibility for the day to day maintenance and repair of Renishaw production plant and equipment working predominately on CNC machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out preventative scheduled maintenance and electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnostic processes on the following types of machinery and equipment and implementing the appropriate remedial/corrective actions:

    • Mazak Nexus, FJV, AJV and Haas machining centres

    • Citizen B12, F Series, K16, M20, M32, A32, L32, Mazak Integrex, and Star lathes including their associated barfeed, gantry work handling and coolant systems

    • Kasto sawing stations including their associated automated deburring systems

    • Process Finishing equipment to include automated deburring equipment, cleaning machines, polishing machines and anodising process lines

    • Laser marking machines and laser cutting machines

    • Injection moulding machines and associated chiller systems

    • CNC cutter grinders

    • Mitsubishi, Fanuc & Kuka robotic systems

    • Solvent & soap based cleaning machines

    • Compressed air generation plant and their associated dryers

    • LEV and extraction systems

  • Demonstrating good electrically/mechanically biased machine tool knowledge and diagnostic skills

  • Delivering quality workmanship in terms of time, accuracy, and job feedback

  • Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team

Key requirements
  • A minimum of ONC/City and Guilds equivalents in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Proven expertise in CNC machine tool repair and maintenance techniques are essential

Desirable requirements
  • Basic PC literacy and familiar with current Microsoft Office packages
