Job summary

TD Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Workshop Technician / Plant Fitter for a plant and tool hire company in Keynsham, Bristol. You will inspect, service, maintain and repair plant machinery, diagnose faults and ensure equipment is safe and available for customers.

The role offers a competitive salary (£32,000-£35,000 per year), full-time permanent employment, and a bonus scheme after a three-month probation. You will work in a busy depot with a strong mechanical background.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical repairs and plant maintenance.
• Practical fault-finding ability with tools.
• Able to work safely with hand and power tools.
• Able to inspect, maintain and repair mechanical equipment.
• Desirable: plant hire / construction equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair plant machinery and hire equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise downtime.
• Prepare equipment for hire and return to service.
• Maintain accurate servicing records.
• Keep workshop safe and organised.
