Alecto Recruitment Limited is helping a Buckingham-based plant hire business to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter / Workshop Engineer. The role involves workshop maintenance, repairs and supporting on-site service for a varied fleet of equipment.

You will work directly with the directors, shaping engineering services and expanding the workshop. A competitive package includes a company van, fuel card, phone and tool allowance, with a Monday–Friday 7am–5pm schedule plus Saturday rota.

Competenze

• Experienced Plant Fitters, Plant Engineers or Heavy Plant Mechanics who can diagnose faults and perform mechanical repairs.
• Strong mechanical background with practical problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Experience with crushers, excavators, telehandlers or similar plant equipment is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Carry out PDIs, service hire equipment and diagnose faults.
• Respond to breakdowns and order parts for repairs.
• Complete customer repairs and keep records up to date.
• Attend customer sites for on-site work when required.
• Help hand over machinery to customers and support workshop operations.
• Contribute to improving workshop efficiency and processes.
