Are you an experienced Plant Fitter looking for a new challenge with a reputable and well‑established company? Our client, a respected leader in the plant hire industry, is looking for a Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team and help keep their Diesel generators operating at peak performance across the Region.

The Role:

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of our clients’ generators on site and at their home depot. This is a varied role with real autonomy—no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing and inspections on plant equipment
• Diagnose, service and repair diesel products on site or at home depot
• Attend breakdowns in a timely and professional manner
• Complete job sheets and reports accurately
• Liaise with the service team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

About You:

• Proven experience as a diesel plant fitter, service engineer, or similar
• Strong knowledge of generators desirable but will consider similar experience for the right candidate
• NVQ Level 2/3 in a diesel generator level degree or equivalent (desirable but we will definitely consider time‑served Plant Fitters/Engineers with 2–3+ years)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and customer‑focused
