Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter to join a well-established specialist supplier of commercial mowing and grounds-care equipment, focusing on refurbished, new, and hire machinery.

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and reconditioning machinery, primarily workshop-based with some site attendance.

This full-time permanent role offers hybrid working options, a salary range of £33,000 - £40,250 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:
  • Reconditioning machinery to a high standard, supported by structured in-house training
  • Diagnosing mechanical and basic auto-electrical faults across a range of equipment
  • Carrying out planned servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Ensuring machinery is safe, reliable and fit for purpose
  • Attending occasional on-site service and repair tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed
What we are looking for:
  • Previously worked as a Plant Fitter, PCV Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Agricultural Service Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, Plant Mechanic, Plant Technician, Forklift Engineer, Forklift Mechanic, Service Technician, Service Engineer, Grounds Maintenance Technician, Tractor Service Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Groundcare Engineer, Groundcare Machinery Mechanic, Groundcare Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical work
  • Experience with Mowers, Tractors, Groundcare machinery or agricultural equipment is beneficial
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving capability
  • A reliable and honest individual with a strong work ethic
  • Full UK driving licence
