About the Role

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, our client is seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join their team. As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of plant machinery used in high-profile projects across the home counties. The role involves working with various equipment, including excavators, and other heavy plant machinery, ensuring that all machines are well-maintained and meet safety standards.

About the requirements

• Experience working as a Plant Fitter or in a similar mechanical/maintenance role.
• Knowledge of plant machinery and mechanical systems, including excavators, dumpers, and forklifts.
• Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance (NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in plant fitting or mechanical maintenance.
• Familiar with the demands of working in construction — tight sites, busy schedules, and challenging logistics.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
