An independent plant business in Bracknell is seeking a Plant Fitter to maintain and repair equipment in a small workshop team. The ideal candidate has experience with 360-plant machines and relevant HGV qualifications. Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and service all equipment as per specifications.

• Work safely and use equipment appropriately.

Job description

Plant Fitter – Bracknell

Up to £21 per hour. 6.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday only (45 hour week). Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday‑Friday, 2.0x on weekends and bank holidays.

Independent heavy plant business. Small, close‑knit workshop team with experience working on 360‑plant machines – crushers, screeners, etc. Mixture of workshop and mobile work.

About the Client

A family‑run independent plant business based in Bracknell, with a 50‑year history. Specialising in plant and HGV work within the automotive industry, including commercial vehicles, plant hire and agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service all equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Attend breakdowns on sites as required.
• Maintain parts stock and advise management on necessary purchases.
• Keep up to date with technical advances and recommend training or equipment upgrades.
• Keep the depot workshop clean, tidy and in compliance with relevant legislation.
• Work safely and use equipment and facilities appropriately.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience working with 360‑plant machines.
• City & Guild or NVQ, or equivalent HGV qualifications.
• A stable background working with plant equipment or HGVs.
• Full UK driving licence.
