Qualifications

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite technical support for a range of heavy plant and machinery.
  • Keep machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Complete all work to a high standard, promptly and within set timeframes.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently using strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
  • Ensure all personal and company equipment complies with health and safety standards.
  • Supervise apprentices when required, maintaining high-quality workmanship and safe working procedures.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Plant or Land-Based Mechanical Engineering, or a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in plant or heavy machinery maintenance.
  • Proven ability to service and repair a wide range of heavy tracked machinery.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • CPCS Card or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and commercial awareness.
  • Self-motivated, efficient, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
