Qualifications

  • Auto Electrical Trade certificate/s or WA Licensed Electrician required.
  • Current Construction Industry Induction card (White/Blue) is mandatory.
  • Valid C-class drivers license necessary; MR/HR Truck License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Rail resurfacing Equipment and mid-range & small plant.
  • Perform services, scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Diagnose machine faults and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams.
  • Work with technical drawings and electrical schematics.

About The Role

Currently there are vacancies in our Rail WA Plant Team for experienced and qualified Electricians & Auto Electricians who are looking to gain experience providing specialised electrical services working on a variety of heavy, mid‑range & small plant and equipment.

Previous experience working on mobile plant and other rail specific plant is preferred but not essential as in‑house training is provided.

These newly created roles are workshop based in Welshpool with planned and adhoc remote field support for John Holland's rail projects across Western Australia from Esperance to Port Hedland and everywhere in between.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain various items of Rail resurfacing Equipment, mid range & small plant and earthmoving equipment
  • Carry out services, schedule maintenance and repairs
  • Machine fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams
  • Work off technical drawings & electrical schematics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Auto Electrical Trade certificate/s or WA Licensed Electrician.
  • Current Construction Industry Induction card (White/Blue)
  • Valid C‑class drivers licence (MR/HR Truck Licence Preferred)
  • A great attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
Desirable
  • Proven and demonstrated experience maintaining mobile plant and/or rail maintenance equipment
  • HR Truck Drivers Licence
  • Current Rail Industry Worker card
