Plant Body Fitter and Heavy Trailer

£13.00 - £17.00 per hour

Southampton

Full-time - Day shifts Monday - Friday

Purpose

To assemble plant bodies and heavy haulage trailers to precise specifications, contributing to the production of high-quality, durable vehicles built 'Better by Design'.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow build specifications to assemble plant bodies and heavy trailers.
• Install and connect hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform general mechanical fitting and adjustment.
• Ensure work meets internal quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of electrical fitting experience.
• Ability to read and follow build specifications.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable

• Driving licence and forklift licence.
• Experience in trailer or commercial vehicle assembly.
