We are looking for a Planning Systems Administrator to join our Planning Service – a team committed to innovation, efficiency, and excellent public service at East Lindsey District Council.

Upcoming Projects You’ll Be Involved In
  • Aligning processes and system set up for all 3 councils on the Uniform back‑office system.
  • Implementing improvements to our back‑office systems.
  • Developing interactive dashboards to support performance management.
  • Enhancing online customer engagement tools.
  • Supporting Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs) with accurate data extraction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and optimise the Uniform planning software system.
  • Configure templates, workflows, and system settings to meet service needs.
  • Produce and manage reports and dashboards for operational and strategic use.
  • Lead digital improvements across the Planning Service.
  • Assist with GIS/mapping tasks and maintaining spatial datasets.
  • Provide training and support to staff on system use and reporting tools.
What we’re looking for
  • Educated to A-Level standard or possess equivalent relevant experience, with a strong background in technical or regulatory roles—preferably within local government or planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent data entry and reporting skills, and a clear understanding of data protection regulations and their practical application.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities are essential, alongside an analytical mindset and effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Access or other database systems, familiarity with development management in planning services, and prior involvement in back‑office system administration is a bonus!

This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
