Job summary

My Tunbridge Wells invites applications for a planning solicitor to join our nationally renowned Planning Team, advising on complex planning matters for residential and commercial developers, landowners, investors and local authorities across the country.

You will work on development and infrastructure projects, provide strategic advice and technical expertise on applications, appeals, judicial reviews and environmental issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' PQE in planning law or equivalent experience.
• Experience advising developers, landowners or investors on planning matters.

We have an exciting opportunity for a planning solicitor to join our nationally renowned Planning Team who are at the forefront of advising on complex planning matters for residential and commercial developers, landowners, investors and local authorities across the country.

About the role

Working with this highly respected team you will work on a wide range of development and infrastructure projects, offering strategic advice and technical expertise on planning applications, appeals, judicial reviews, and environmental matters. Recent highlights include:

• Advising on a range of natural capital matters for a local authority client including the negotiations of its first S.106 agreement to establish a Habitat Bank for biodiversity net gain and nutrient mitigation.
• Advising on planning matters in connection with a number of large scale strategic residential schemes including complex s106 negotiations involving complex landownership structures, multiple stakeholders.
• Supporting a joint venture between high profile institutional investors on due diligence and planning matters relating to a multi-site, single-family rental housing joint venture.

About you

We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years’ PQE or more, who has worked in a similar environment, with experience of working with investment firms, house builders, and individuals looking for planning advice and guidance.
