We're working with a standout legal team ranked in the Legal 500, seeking a Planning & Environmental Associate to join their growing practice. Based in Southampton, you'll have the chance to work on high-impact commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments for national and regional clients—ranging from regeneration schemes to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate planning and infrastructure agreements.
  • Advise on applications and development consent orders.
  • Provide strategic, commercially focused planning advice.
  • Contribute to property transactions across both public and private sectors.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Grounding in planning law—through a training seat or post-qualification experience.
  • Bonus points for exposure to development, energy, or environmental matters (not essential).
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to deliver advice aligned to business goals.
