West Suffolk Council is seeking a Planning Policy Officer to help develop the Local Plan and related masterplans, with the potential to progress to Senior Planning Officer. The role is permanent, full-time and based in West Suffolk.

The starting salary is £30,515 per annum, with a range up to £47,665, plus an excellent employee benefits package. The council supports flexible and agile working options.

Qualificações

• Up to date knowledge of planning legislation.
• Qualified to degree level in relevant subject.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient in using IT and Microsoft.
• Ability to manage time, workload and tight deadlines while remaining focused and professional.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the preparation of Local Plan, Neighbourhood Plans, supplementary plans and masterplans.
• Lead on related projects and evidence.
• Liaise with outside bodies/stakeholders/interested individuals/expert bodies and statutory consultees.
• Attend and present papers to Working Groups, Cabinet, and Portfolio Holders as required.
