Overview

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Secondment opportunity

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen to join the NHSGGC Corporate Planning team for a fixed term / secondment period of 12 months.

Role

Working alongside Planning Managers across the Corporate Planning Team the post holder will contribute to the delivery of Board Strategy by providing operational planning and change management input to relevant planned care workstreams across the acute division. The postholder will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including clinicians, managers and senior leaders, as part of a coordinated approach to support delivery of Board objectives. The role will have a particular focus on supporting improvement and redesign work for Cancer services including Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT). The postholder will also have opportunities to get involved in a range of other key priority areas across acute services.

Learning & Development

The postholder will gain experience working with a wide range of acute specialties across all Sectors. A key component of the role will be the ability to build and sustain positive relationships across the acute division to help services deliver against organisational priorities. This will be used alongside skills in coordination, complex information gathering, analysis of data and performance monitoring to help inform change and service development.
