Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd is seeking a Planning Officer to manage a broad workload in Hampshire and Portsmouth. You will assess planning applications, prepare reports and recommendations, and provide sound professional advice in line with UK planning policies.

This six‑month contract may extend and could transition to longer-term roles. The role demands excellent communication and organisational skills and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience dealing with planning applications and development proposals.
• Knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies and procedures.
• Ability to assess applications and make sound planning recommendations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and process a wide range of planning applications from submission to decision.
• Prepare planning reports, recommendations and decisions in line with policies and legislation.
• Provide planning advice to applicants, agents, residents and other stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve planning issues.
• Attend meetings, site visits and committees as required.
